Holland Driving Directions


  • From Schiphol to Hotel Van Der Valk, Leiden – Leave the Airport and enter the A4 towards Den Haag/Rotterdam follow this about 10K to A44 on your right. Take the A44 (signs for Sassenheim/Leiden-West/Den Haag-Centrum) for 17K to exit 8 Leiden for N206 toward Leiden/Utrecht .6K Turn left at Ingenieur G Tjalmaweg/N206 (this is N206) go .6K Turn right at Haagse Schouwweg/N206 go about 1K. You will go through 1 rotary and pass over a bridge – hotel is on your right. You will have to pass the hotel, take your first right and then take your next right. Entry to the parking lot is on your right. Travel time is about 20 minutes.


  • From the Hotel Van Der Valk to the Yacht Club Braassemermeer there are many ways. The back way is the fastest, but difficult to explain – so I will give the easiest directions and you can learn the back way once you are there. Head northeast on Haagse Schouwweg toward Hoge Morsweg passing through 1 rotary, about 1K. Turn left at N206/Plesmaniaan and go .4K Turn right onto A44 towards Rijnsburg/Amsterdam/Oegstgeest go about 15K to exit 1 Oude-Wetering toward Oude_Wetering/Roelofarendsveen in .2K turn left at Kaagweg go .2K take a slight right at Lisserweg and go 1.4K to the rotary. Take the first exit from the rotary onto Weteringweg for .5k continue of Alkemadelaan for 1.5K to next rotary. Take the 3rd exit onto Meerkreuk go .4K and turn right at Plantage for .2K and continue on Langeweg for .4K to left at Noorderhemweg for .7K The Yacht Club is on your left. Park and walk up hill to the water.

The Train Station is noted as “B” ( you will turn left at the light and go under it)
Yacht Club is noted as “C”
 
It is a nice drive (takes about 15-18 min) once you leave Leiden and you miss all of the traffic that backs up on the bigger highways.
Don’t be intimidated by the map once you have driven it once it is easy as pie.
