TRAVEL TIPS
- Take your passport and make sure it has eligibility until June 25th 2008
- If you are traveling as a single parent, take that notorized letter from the stay at home parent.
- Remember your driver's license
- Tell your credit card that you are traveling to Holland on specific dates Remember that a Discover card (Sears!) is not accepted in Europe You might ask your credit card company if ATM's for your card are available in Leiden.
- Make copies of the front page of each passport and leave one at home with your emergency contact
- Cross pack your bags so if one is lost, no one has "No clothes"
- Carry on any really critical sailing gear like a drysuit, gloves, and boots
- Be aware of your air carrier's baggage policies. United recently announced a ONE bag limit for domestic travel and the 2nd bag will cost $25 each way. This does not affect international travel - YET!
And finally, hotel space for Trials and Nationals is posted on www.colonialtravelagency.com. Make your reservations early (especially for Nationals) as space is limited.
